Projects

At Connexion One, we enjoy getting involved in projects which can build on our participants skills and opportunities.

Accessible Dungeons & Dragons Project

Peer Connexion was running a Dungeons & Dragons group weekly. Through the group we identified a need to develop a shorter version, with modules that are more accessible than the traditional version of the game.

In 2021, we applied for and were fortunate to receive an Australian Government DSS, Information, Linkages and Capacity Building – Social and Community Participation Grant, to bring our idea to reality!

We employed four young people with disabilities to work on the project and create accessible modules.

The project will soon be offering workshops on how to develop characters and play Dungeons & Dragons!

Lab4Good Project

In 2020/2021 Peer Connexion was keen to develop a program to assist participants who wanted to develop their own start up business, based on a model of social enterprise.

Peer Connexion backed this idea through providing funding to establish the Lab4Good project. The project ran over 8 weeks and assisted participants to develop business ideas. One great idea was the development of a market stall to sell indoor plants, which appears regularly at local Adelaide community markets!
